Praise for Cris McCurley’s work with CEDAW

Cris recently had an article published in the Newcastle Law Society magazine. The article covered the work that she has been doing with CEDAW and her recent trip to Geneva. Read her blog post “Report from the UN”. One particular reader of the magazine, Caroline Goorney (a family law specialist and mediator) took the time to write in and express her interest in the work that Cris does.

I read with great interest Cris McCurley’s report on her work with CEDAW and the UN Enquiry (“Report from the UN” October issue). This is a great example of how dedicated lawyers working ‘at the coalface’ can be instrumental in effecting reform, and Cris should be congratulated for her part in this.

Cris has been working tirelessly on legal rights for women, and continues to dedicate her time championing the elimination of discrimination against women. See our Twitter feed for up to date information about these issues.

We are proud to have Cris as part of our team at Ben Hoare Bell, and it is very rewarding for both Cris, and the firm, to have her hard work recognised.
