P.C. Amjad Ditta of West Yorkshire Police (also known as Amjad Hussain) aged 35 has been charged with a criminal offence of sexual touching and is due to appear in Court on 6 January 2020.

P.C. Amjad Ditta is one of a group of males charged with various sex offences.  The allegations against the group of males include several counts of rape, sexual assault, supplying drugs and trafficking.

It is understood Amjad Ditta was attached to West Yorkshire Police’s Protective Services Operation and was a serving Officer at the time of the alleged offence.

The criminal proceedings will in due course decide whether Amjad Ditta did commit any criminal offence.  No doubt the victim will now seek compensation for the alleged assault which may include a claim against West Yorkshire Police.
