North East Cyclist Jailed

On 23 October 2018 Paul Gallon, 37, was jailed at Newcastle Crown Court after admitting causing Grievous Bodily Harm when he rode his mountain bike into a couple in Whitley Bay in the North East in November 2016.

Gallon had a 3 month relationship with Holly Blake which ended 5 weeks before the attack. After seeing Holly Blake and her new partner William Nicholson walking in Whitley Bay, Gallon gave chase on his bike and rode into them at speed. It is reported Holly Blake was knocked unconscious and suffered serious head injuries and is now registered disabled. William Nicholson also suffered long term injuries. After being knocked to the ground William Nicholson was then punched and stamped on by Gallon.

Gallon was jailed for 11 and a half years.
