Jon Snaith, a former Northumbria Police Officer, has been told a Prison sentence is more or less “inevitable” after he admitted offering to supply cocaine and corruption.
At a recent hearing before Newcastle Crown Court he admitted failing to report criminal conduct of others to obtain personal benefits for himself which included drugs and sexual services.
The investigation into Snaith was carried out by Northumbria Police Professional Standards Department. A misconduct hearing was held in September 2018 when Snaith was dismissed without notice. The misconduct hearing followed previous criminal proceedings when Snaith pleaded guilty to driving while unfit through drugs.
Snaith, who is currently on bail, will be sentenced later this year for the offences of Police corruption and offering to supply cocaine.
