Stanley Simpson Abuse Claims

On 11 February 2016 former advice worker from Sunderland Stanley Simpson was found guilty at Durham Crown Court of twenty nine counts including serious sex attacks and rapes.  Stanley Simpson will appear before Durham Crown Court at a later date to be sentenced.  The Judge stated he was considering a life sentence for Simpson.

Simpson, aged 50, of Pennywell in Sunderland had denied the thirty four allegations made against him.  The jury heard some of the victims believed he was a Solicitor or said he claimed to be with the Police.  The Court was told that Simpson was once on a YTS Police course and had hoped to become a Police Officer.  In total Simpson faced fourteen counts of indecent assault, six rapes, seven serious sexual assaults on boys and seven counts of indecency with a child.

Ben Hoare Bell has been instructed to pursue claims for compensation arising from the sexual assaults committed by Simpson.  If you are a survivor of the abuse contact Richard Hardy on 0191 516 7926 or richardhardy@benhoarestaging.local
