Victoria Richardson

I studied Law at Newcastle University, graduating in 2011 before going on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University in 2012.

I joined Ben Hoare Bell in October 2012 as a Paralegal in the Family Law department in our Gateshead office where I ran my own case load and advised on all areas of private and public Family Law including divorce, Children Act proceedings, Ancilliary Relief and Domestic Violence.

I commenced my Training Contract in September 2015. My first seat was in the International Family Law department, working on cases involving Forced Marriage, Child Abduction and domestic abuse. As a domestic violence champion, a key area of my work was offering support and advice to those who have suffered domestic violence.

As part of my Training Contract I also worked in the Police Misconduct and Crime departments.

I qualified as a Solicitor in March 2017. I now work in the Family department.

I am the elected CSR Representative for the North East Junior Lawyers Division. My role involves co-ordinating the mentoring scheme pairing trainees, pupils and junior Solicitors and Barristers with students. I am also the contact point with our charity of the year.
