I graduated from Newcastle University in 2000 and following a year travelling I commenced the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University. For the last 13 years I have practiced in both Family and Criminal Law within Northumberland and I joined the Ben Hoare Bell Family Department in May 2017.
I have successfully attained qualifications as a Criminal Duty Solicitor and I am also on the Family and Children Panel meaning that the Law Society regard me as having an expertise in representing parents, carers and children within the somewhat fraught and daunting world of Court Proceedings. I have a particular interest in Public Law Proceedings representing family members in cases involving Children’s Services.
I am a member of Resolution and Women Lawyers North East.
Outside of working hours I enjoy live music and attending festivals (particularly Glastonbury), travelling the world (having walked the Great Wall of China in November 2015 and hiked to Everest Base Camp in April 2016) but on a more day to day basis I love eating and drinking around the North East and walking my dog.
