Breast flashing Police Chief keeps her job

On 30 January 2017 it was announced that a top Police Officer who exposed her breast whilst mocking another Police Officer’s “boob job” has been allowed to keep her job.

A disciplinary panel found Assistant Chief Constable Rebekah Sutcliffe of Greater Manchester Police guilty of gross misconduct and recommended a written warning.  It was announced on 30 January 2017 that Deputy Chief Constable Ian Pilling decided to follow the disciplinary panel’s recommendation and give the Senior Officer a final written warning.  Announcing his decision to follow the panel’s recommendation it was reported Mr Pilling said:

“despite being absolutely appalled at her behaviour and all too aware of the damage to public confidence, I do not think I can take a different view without any significant reason to do so”.
